Have you ever wondered what working in a consultancy looks like? If so, this is the event perfect for you! As part of the European Year of Youth, ECA Maastricht has the pleasure to invite you to meet two representatives of the Brussels-based consultancy ADS Insight, Mr Eric Le Nail and Mr Floris Hoffman! On Monday, April 25th, at 18:30 at Festzaal (UM Faculty of Law), Mr Le Nail and Mr Hoffman will share with us who is ADS Insight and its role in the EU policy making, and how consultancies and lobbyists work (e.g., transparency, funding, stakeholders). Moreover, they will show how the UN Sustainability Goals are implemented in EU policy, and the impact that lobbying can have on the application of SDGs. After a general overview of all these topics and how they worked in the recent evolving political context (i.e., EU Green Deal, Covid19 pandemic, Russian invasion of Ukraine), they will illustrate their practical work through the case studies of Circular Economy (SDG 12), Adult Education (SDG 4), and Energy discussion (SGD 7). Besides, they will touch upon their experience as trainees at ADS and internship opportunities at the consultancy.
