Brussels ECA Study Trip

On October 3rd 2024 at 19:10 in Statenzaal (Law Faculty) join us for our annual Young Professionals event! 🧑💼
We’ll be hosting two highly accomplished young professionals who studied in Maastricht, completed prestigious EU traineeships in Brussels, and succeeded in obtaining jobs at the European Institutions.
They panel will feature:
Piotr Sanejko - Programme Manager at the European Commission, DG EMPL, previously a Bluebook Trainee at the Commission and a MEP Trainee at the European Parliament. Piotr works managing the implementation of EU funds and provides expertise on non-discrimination, rule of law, and legal issues.
Jakub Rurarz - Legal Advisor at the Council of the European Union, previously a Council Trainee. Jakub works on institutional questions, transparency, and EU External Relations, in particular restrictive measures and the area of security and defence. He also represents the Council at the Court of Justice of the EU.
They will share their personal career experiences, offer advice on the application processes, as well as provide useful tips and practical knowledge on how to stand out in the EU job market 🇪🇺
They will also join our drinks at the event, so don’t miss the chance to get to talk to them!

ECA Day Trip: Brussels
Get ready for the last ECA Study Trip of the year!On Thursday 23rd May 2024, ECA will go for a one-day Study Trip to Brussels! We will visit FTI Consulting where we will learn about careers in public affairs consulting, as well as have a chance to network with professionals in that field, including UM Alumni. You will also get free time to explore the city centre, and see all the institutions headquartered in Brussels together with the fellow participants. Additionally, later in the afternoon you will have a chance to network with ECA Alumni that already live and work in the EU Bubble, giving you an opportunity to gain useful insights how it is transitioning from a student to a young professional and expand your network. The price of this trip is 35€, including the return tickets.

ECA Special Event - Careers in Diplomacy
If you are interested in pursuing a career in diplomacy, then you have come to the right place. The 2024 edition of the ECA’s Careers in Diplomacy Event is here! Join us for a panel discussion with high-ranking diplomats. It’s a great opportunity to discover the intricacies of the world of diplomacy.
The event will take place on the 16th of May at 18:30 at Feestzaal, Faculty of Law. This will be a moderated panel discussion, with questions that aim to uncover insights into the diplomatic craft. Additionally, all the participants will have a chance to ask their questions during the discussion through Slido, the interactive app designed just for that, and after, throughout the Q&A session.
