Young Professionals: Starting an EU Career

  • Maastricht University Faculty of Law (Feestzaal) (map)

Are you wondering what kind of opportunities await you in Brussels or at EU institutions? Have you thought about applying for an EU internship in the future and want to know all about it? What are the day-to-day tasks of an intern? What is the recruitment process like? How can I increase my chances of success? How will an internship help me kickstart my career?

ECA Maastricht welcomes three young professionals with first-hand experience working for EU institutions. Since the recruitment process is complex, they will explain its most important aspects, tips and tricks, as well as what extracurricular activities helped them the most during university. Our guests will share stories about tasks they handled and how the overall experience helped them achieve a European career.

The guests are:

Piotr Sanejko - Bluebook trainee at the European Commission, MEP trainee, LLM European Law at Maastricht University, ECA founder and alumni

Jakub Rurarz - Legal Advisor at the Council of the European Union, LLM European Law at Maastricht University, ECA founder and alumni

Nina Klubert - Inquiries Officer at the European Ombudsman Office, LLM European Law at Maastricht University,  ECA alumni
