Guest Lecture: Careers at Europol

On the 20th of May, ECA Maastricht will welcome our Strategic Partner, Europol! This special event will introduce career perspectives at the organization, internships, and provide insights into the recruitment process. Our guest will be Mr Dietrich Neumann, the Head of Department - Administration at Europol.Europol is an agency of the European Union for Law Enforcement Cooperation headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands. It supports the 27 Member States in their fight against cybercrime, terrorism, and other serious and organized forms of crime. Europol also works closely together with non-EU partner states and international organizations.Are you interested in combating the biggest security threats to the internal security of the EU? Is it your aim to achieve a safer Europe for the benefit of all the EU citizens? Then this special event will equip you with all relevant information on working at Europol! The agency offers internships several times a year with a duration of three to six months, giving a chance to sample work at Europol. Furthermore, they offer various job opportunities as Temporary Agents and Contract Agents.Join this ECA special event to learn more about the tasks and daily work of this EU agency, requirements for a career there, and possibilities to conduct an internship in the Hague! Gather insights from Mr Neumann who is managing the Agency’s HR, Finance and Facilities units. He previously held positions at the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU, and the German Federal Investigation Office. He holds a German law degree as well as an L.L.M. from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in EU and International Public law.
